What is Happening at the Shelter

Hello Eceryone!  August 19th~  Our new website is done!  Please go to www.hope4fuziefaniez.com There are many more animals here at the shelter we need to add yet, so if you are looking for something specific be sure to ask.

I want to send out a HUGE thank you to my Board Of Directors!  Dr. Bob for EVERYTHING you do at the clinic for us, kathie for all the time spent with our financial things, and Ally and Mike for Basically keeping me sane!  :)  You all are the best, and i do not know what i would do without you!

The shelter phone is currently not working. If you need to reach me please call the cell number wich is 307-640-2184. Thanks to UNION we now have cell phone service out here! yeah!

Be sure and think about us while Garage saling this summer. Old fans, space heaters, shop vacs, towels, blankets, cat/dog beds, food bowls, brooms, dustpans, there are many things out there that we need and could get alot cheaper at garage sales!  Think of us while you are out there!

This is my new favorite saying!:   "Those who can DO, and those who can't BULLY"

Hello Everyone!  July 28th.  Wow! The summer is flying by! I just wanted to let you all know i am still here and still working 24/7 to take care of all these wonderful lucky animals who are calling this home until they find a new family. It gets harder and harder for me to sit down here and tell what is happening. There is so much!

The one thing i know you all are wondering about... Daisy my very favorite shelter cat who spent a week in the clinic passed away last Sunday.  She had Liver disease, and there was nothing more that we could do for her. I wll miss her SO much!

Thank you to everyone who has sent supplies this way. Especially Sara K !!  Also a BIG Thank you to the Purina company who donated 1000lbs of food!  yeah!

Hello Eceryone! June 9th- I just wanted to update you all on a few new things happening here. We are almost done with out new website. Most of the dogs are updated, and the cats page is all we have left. You can see it at www.hope4fuziefaniez.com . Send me an E-mail and let me kn ow what you think!  A BIG THANK YOU to Ally for all your hard work on this new site!

I have been busy here nursing 3 elderly dogs who are not doing well. Also the horse named "Gonzo" went to his new home last week, and "Dolly" the heeler/aussie cross has now found her new forever home!  yeah!

We have gotten in a shipment of HOPE4FUZIEFANIEZ T-shirts!  They cam be seen on our new site, and they are for sale for 25.00$ apiece. All proceeds will go towards the animals!

The Pekingese that we rescued from the Prarie bark kennels closing are doing great and are totally ADORABLE. They are just simply loving life and getting to do so many new things after living in a cage for 6-7 years. They are not scared and unsocialized like most mill dogs. They are just plain sweet!  They have all been altered and vetted, and are ready for their new homes now. If you want to see them go to the dogs page on our new site.

Does anyone have an old shop-vac?? I am needing about 3 of them for the different 8x16 walk in cat cages in the shelter. If you have an old one that you are not using and could donate we all would appreciate it!!

MANY MANY thank you's go out to all the wonderful people who have been helping this shelter be a huge success. Becaus of the ecomony i think many people are afraid to make donations now, and funding is very very low. Any and all help would be appreciated by many FUZIEFANIEZ!  :)

A BIG THANK YOU to Linda York at petPals for taking 12 of the 15 dogs we got from a breeder release last Sunday. Also THANK YOU to Chris L. for her help, and for taking 2 of the dogs to safelty at her house. ALL these dogs will no longer be making babies, and will be spayed and neutered and able to have a chance at a real life in a new home!  YEAH!!

May 6th-Hello Everyone!  Our new T-shirts with the Hope4FuzieFaniez logo on them should be here next week!  With a 25.00$ donation we will ship one to you!  Please e-mail and let us know how many you wouldl like and what sizes. ALL the money from these T-shirts will go towards the animals, and you can be advertising for us as well!

April 23rd....H E L L O everyone!!  I hope all of you survived the bad weather we have been having. It has made all the work here at the ranch and shelter ALOT harder, and i have been absolutely swamped! We  have been doing some major construction, and i have been catching up on alot of projects that needed to be done in the shelter.  The latest "Mission" now is to get all new crates for the small dogs. We are going to try and purchase a bank of new wire crates that can be stacked ontop of each other.  I think it will make cleaning ALOT easier, and will make more room and definatly look nicer and save me some time.  These crates are also at www.petedge.com like the cat cages we are still working on getting. These are 39.00$, and we will be needing about 9 of them. Same as with the cat cages if you would like to sponsor one, in memory of a pet or a human, we are in the process of making the plaques for all the cages. Also if we get a certain amount of cages ordered we do NOT have to pay shipping wich is very high! If you would like to donate one please E-mail me and i will send the specifics of wich cages they are we are needing.

A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to ALL of you for your help and support. Without you all this would not be possible.  Together we are making a difference in the lives of many lost souls. The animals and i appreciate each and very one of you!!!

The Board of Directors is wanting to WELCOME Mike Ostrowski as our new Secretary here at the shelter. Many of you know and have heard about "MY Ally" (as i always call her) who is the Fundraising Assistant. Mike is her husband. He has Four Paws Photo in Denver , and is currently attending vet school. Both Mike and Ally are 100% dedicated to helping the animals, and we will be working together as a team to make wonderful things happen here at the shelter! A BIG HUGE Thank you to Mike and Ally for all of your help!!

The computer at Hope4FuzieFaniez has been DOWN for over a week now. Thank you all for your patience with me in answering E-mails!  If ANYONE knows how to take "Messenger" OFF Yahoo! Mail, please let me know. :)  Someone sent that here and asked that i be on their instant messaging list, and ever since then i cannot keep on the internet. I get pushed off in about one minute.......Nobody seems to know how to "cancel" it, so if anyone knows please send an E-mail. I can still read them but cannot send any out.

THANK YOU to all of the people who answered the Craigslist post that was put out for Ally and Mike to bring out donations!  You all were AWSOME!!!!!!!

All is well here at the shelter, and all the animals are doing GREAT. Thank you to Clyde and family for giving "Baby Girl" her new wonderful home!

Also thanks to Char for helping with all the painting, and again Jane for the awsome cat condo. The new 8x16' walk-in cat cage is done and wonderful!

I added a new page called "A Rescuer's Voice mail" please read it and it will give you a good idea of what we rescuers go through daily.....

Thank you to everyone for your help with rescuing 5 cats who are on their way from Iowa. They are now in KCMO staying at "Melanie's Cat Inn" until I can go get them this weekend. They have all been saved, vetted, altered, and are all SAFE!!  A BIG THANK YOU to Jane E who has donated 2 new cages for them, and a giant cat condo/tree for them!  Also to the rest of you who sent funding to help them. It is a success!  Pictures will be up as soon as they get here!

ProSelect Standard Foldable Cat Cages Hopefully this picture will open so you can see what they look like!

ALSO- I FINALLY got some HAPPY news about the 2 chihauhau's that i had been told wer comming to the shelter. I had asked you all for help getting them here, and your help was AWSOME!!  BUT..These 2 babies "accidentally" got sent to another high-kill shelter. Then got sent back to the original shelter. Then got sent BACK to the other high-kill shelter. For a week i awaited their status, and worried about them. I tried EVERYTHING i could and nobody would let me know what was happening. FINALLY i have heard they got adopted!!!!!!!!!  YEAH!!!  In the mean time i have taken in 7 animals to Dr. Farr, and had them spayed, neutered, an ear surgery, and several other things they neeed, and used this extra money for all ther vetting. I have spoken to most of you and you were all great about me doing this. Hopefully EVERYONE is OK with this!!  Thank you for being so understanding, and for ALL your help!  We appreciate you!!!

A remnder that the animals on my website are definately not ALL the animals here at the shelter. There are MANY more here who are awaiting their new forever homes. If you are looking for something in specific be sure and ask me. I may have the purrrrfect baby for you!

The 3 chihauhaus that we had comming have all arrived safely and are being RE- socialized. they have been thru an awful time, but are here and safe now. 2 are 8 years old and their owners passed away. One is a 5 YO fawn colored little boy who is great and ready for adoption.

January 8th- please click on the link below to see our newsletter and the latest on what has been happening here at the shelter!

                                                           HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

Hello Everybody!  Dec 26th. I hope all of you had a GREAT Christmas, and will have a very Happy New Year!  All the animals here at the shelter are doing great! The new pellet stove is working like crazy and keeping everyone warm. Thanks to all of you who helped make that happen! We have had some wonderful HAPPY things happening here. Many of you remember "Grover" the senior yellow lab who was rescued FOUR SECONDS before euthanasia. He went to his new home 2 days before Christmas!! He now lives with a wonderful family only 12 miles from me, and he got to have a new buddy "Max" go with him also! Max is a cocapoo who i had not even had time to put up on the site yet. Not only two happy endings, but THREE- "Lucky" the senior terrier also went to his new home!  All are doing well, and thanks to Tony&Beth, and Monique for thinking rescue!

We also had 2 sister cats go to their wonderful new home. Delilah & Jezabel who i also had not had time to put on the site, have gotten to go to their new forever home TOGETHER!  YEAH!

I am up to my ears in dog and cat poop! Please excuse me if i cannot get back to you right away with phone calls or E-mails. It takes me from 4 am to 8 pm daily just to take care of everyone. Normal things like washing your hair, eating, bathing, and simple things like that are hard to come by anymore. Anyone know of a MAID who would come and clean my house for me??  :)

Thank you to ALL of you for your help and support. Together we are saving many lives who would not have been alive this Christmas if it was not for all of your help!

I am changing the "Happy Endings"  page a bit and just putting pictures of dogs who have gotten a second chance at life and have been adopted to new homes. Please check it out!

                                                               MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Please read our latest newsletter to hear SOME of the latest that is happening here at the shelter. Just click on the link below! THANK YOU to each and every one of you who helped us reach our goal to get the pellet stove!  Since the newsletter was written it has been installed. Just a few more screws to get the exhaust pipe attached to the outside of the building and we have it done!

Greetings from the furkids at Hope4FuzieFaniez

Hope4FuzieFaniez is having a bit of a crisis!  We applied with a CO group for a grant to buy a pellet stove or heating system for the new shelter building and for some funds to help with the spay/neuter of the furkids we rescue.  We were blessed to receive some monies for spays and neuters, but unfortunately, not one thin dime for heat for the furkids in the shelter.  Winter is upon us, and the temps are dipping into the teens already.  We have some heat lamps that are helping a little, but we desperately need a stove to heat the shelter. We thought we had one, but it met with a horrible accident before it got delivered.  We have found a used pellet stove for $800 not far from our shelter, but we have to have cash as it is an individual who needs to be paid up front.

We are hoping that some of our supporters can chip in a few dollars so we can reach our goal and get the stove installed as soon as possible.  We truly thought that we would be able to use some of the grant money for this purpose, but it just didn't turn out that way.  We are grateful for the help we got, of course, but the furkids are still without adequate heat. If you can make a donation to help us with this need, we and the furkids would be very thankful. Please remember that we are a 501 c3 and that all donations are tax deductible.  Please go to our site
http://www.hope4fuziefaniez.mysite.com/ to see the furkids who are still in need of furever homes, and do crosspost our needs to anyone who might be interested in our rescue efforts.

Thank you for all of your support in the past, and for your prayers and your love.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends!
Blessings,  Tami, Judy and all the Furkids

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!  Our wish for the Holidays is for each of you to send a donation to help keep everyone warm, happy, and fed. Because of the economy things are very slow here. PLEASE don't forget about us!  We need you!!  :)  This is our new Favorite poem we wanted to share with everyone. (Get a kleenex)

> I rescued a human today.
>
> Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering
> apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew
> I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she
> wouldn't be afraid. As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view
> from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn't want
> her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter
> keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.
> As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about
> my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make
> a difference in someone's life. She got down on her knees and made
> little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head
> up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my
> neck; she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her
> cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well.
> Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I
> instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I
> would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do
> everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her
> eyes. I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many
> more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to
> be saved. At least I could save one.

We have signed up for the shelter program with Kuranda pet beds!  All you have to do is go to the link below this picture and click on my shelter in Colorado, and Donate a Bed at a discounted price!  These beds are awsome, and it will be wonderful to get the dogs off the cold hard cement floor. They do have blankets, but they do not last long..... they have to play with them and chew them up, and then they have nowhere to sleep that is warm and cuddly. These beds would be perfect for them!

Hello everyone!  OCT 28th- I just added 3 more dogs to the Dogs 2 page that are now adoptable! Be sure and check them out!!

A pellet stove has been donated to heat the shelter with this winter!!!!!  It just needs a new motor wich only costs about 200.00$. Funds will need to be raised for this project ASAP, so if you can help PLEASE let us know!  This is very urgent as it is getting cold fast, and we need the animals to have heat!

HI Everyone! Oct 21... My name is Loki- i just arrived here at Hope4FuzieFaniez. A nice lady is taking care of me because the lady who owned me had to go on vacation or something and did not want me anymore. I am very sad because i do not know what has happened. I do not have my bed anymore or my home that i am use to. I am a NICE, clean boy. I am only 2 and am already neutered and declawed. Do any of you have a place in your heart/home for me??

Oct 10th- Hello Everyone! Sorry, but i changed the theme of the site to WINTER...i know we all don't want to think about it, but i thought it would remind everyone help is still needed for getting the insulation for the new shelter!  I am making a trip to town Monday the 13th with the pickup and trailer to get all the stuff needed to insulate the ceiling, and the 2 walls that are still bare... I will have to charge it to a credit card, and HOPE donations will come in to cover it before the bill is due at the end of the month. I am hoping the grand total will not be more than 800.00$. This is the scariest thing yet that i have needed help with, so ANY help is apreciated! We don't want all these babies cold this winter!

A big THANK YOU to Ally who is now my Fund Raising Assistant. She has done a WONDERFUL job contacting companies for me asking for donations to help cut costs, and she also has 4 grants written for now!  We are now sponsored by both WRANGLER and CARHARTT!!  They have donated winter workwear for myself and my volunteers here at the shelter!  ~ Ally has also started writing the monthly newsletter for the shelter. Most of you have gotten one by E-mail, and if you haven't and would like to be added to the list please E-mail fuziefaniez0@yahoo.com and we will add your E-mail!  Ally did a GREAT job on the newsletter, and I sooooo appreciate her!  :)

Another big THANK YOU to the Denver ladies who came up last Sunday with not one but TWO carloads of supplies for the shelter. AND a nice lunch!  And AGAIN thank you to the Burdicks for the new Generator!!  What a giant load off knowing that is here for this winter here out in the boonies when the electricity goes out! ~

Also THANK YOU to Gay- She sent big bags of much needed chew bones for the dogs. They are all happily chewing away and sooooo enjoying it!

One more THANK YOU to Cheree in Washington for sending help for the Beagles and for all your support!  There REALLY needs to be more of you in this word!  :)

The beagles are all 4 here and done with their Quarnteen. They are still VERY skinny, But now clean, warm, FED, and de-wormed wich will help tremendously. Now to get them altered, and hopefully soon they will be on the adoption page!

Sept. 11th- Hello Everyone!  I have made a new page on the site called "The Ranch". i just wanted to show everyone where the shalter/sanctuary is located. it is Beautiful out here!

I have been busy helping a friend who also has a rescue. She is getting 200 Pomeranians out of a terrible situation. We are working on getting them into other rescues who can take 20 or so of them at a time. I was not able to help her due to no funds available. :(

2 awsome cats have come in from down south. Both white, young males w/ black spots. FRIENDLY as can be!! They are all vetted, neutered, and ready for forever homes if anyone is interested!

Max the poodle has also gotten neutered this week- THANK YOU Dr. Bob for doing this surgery for us! Max is now ready to go to his new home also!

I have been busy trying to save a 32' tall tiny pony who was STARVED. I worked and worked and worked on him and thought i had him going again and unfortunately he was too far gone. He passed away in my arms. RIP little Thumper.

August 24th- Please everyone say a little prayer for "Isabelle"- she was on a transport comming here to the shelter and got out of her crate in Rapid City, SD and is lost. i will keep you all posted if they find her or not. **"UPDATE"**- Isabelle was never found. One thing that makes me feel better is i heard that the POUND where she came from is shut down and all the dogs are being euthanized because of a disease.....so at least she did not have to die from an injection in that scary place!

Many happy things have also been happening here. Cindie, Cinder, (the 2 golden mix sisiters ) have both gone to their new homes, Toby the little cocapoo has gone to his new home, and HOPE finally went to her new home too!  YEAH!!

DD the tiny Yorkie ALSO "Got lost"...the gal who was to bring him lost him, he has never been found.

Shane the maltese is making progress! We are going outside to potty and play already. He has some MAJOR problem with anyone touching his feet, but now i can hold him and he LIKES it!  :)

LUCKY is a 10 year old medium size terrier. He is a SWEET SWEET gentleman... He was turned over from a hoarder who had their house forclosed on down south. He is hanging out in the shelter with Checkers. He is soooo healhy nobody thinks he is that old. He would be a great companion to anyone!

Also "Max" a 2 year old poodle has come in. he is a bigger guy about 25 lbs. ALL hair and he has not been taken well care of. He will need to be neutered, and then he will be ready for his new home. He is a LOVE BUG!! only 2 years old, and came from SD.

I also got in a TINY yorkie mix guy named "Gizmo"- he is about 3 lbs, and had been thrown outside because he had not been neutered and was peeing in the peoples house. When i went to get him he RAN to my car and JUMPED in like "GET ME OUTA HERE!!!" He is now here, and neutered, and i am hoping i am talking my husband into keeping him.....

The two 8'x11' walk-in cat cages have been completed!!  It was alot of work but i finally got them done. The shelter is looking good!

Thanks to all of you who helped this month. Don and Emma, Carol, Becky, Hal and Minnie!

WINTER is comming soon. PLEASE keep us in mind as we are going to be needing MUCH extra help to get a heating system set up for the new shelter.

July 19th.... Oh Boy!  Can you tell what this is?? it is a PITIFUL little Lhasa- Apsa Girl who came into the shelter today!  I have NEVER seen one sooo matted before- poor girl had things poking into her skin all over her, her feet are so sore from matts between her toes, she could not see, scabs all over, and PEW!!  Thanks to judy she got here safely, and also with judy's help got shaved, and a great bath!!  There really is a dog under there!  We do think she is blind and deaf... Time will tell if i think she can see or hear, but as of now it does not look good. She is VERY happy now- she feels great!  i am calling her "Lady" for now... if anyone has any good ideas for names, send them to me!  She is seriously looking for a sponsor so she can have a new bed, colar, leash, treats, and some good food and a new bowl!  If you would like to help her please let us know!

July 14th. - Hello everyone!

I have been soooo busy and have had so much going on here at the shelter i don't even know if i can remember it all. FIRST  Thank you to Floss at Denkai Animal Sanctuary for letting me take 8 dogs and 1 cat to the spay/neuter clinic. I got NINE animals altered in one day! That  saved me 16 trips to Cheyenne!  Everyone recovered from surgery just fine, and are now ready for adoption. YEAH!

Shane the little Maltese arrived also. Thanks to all you women out there who fostered him, and got him safely on the transport. I do not know if it is even possible to tell you  about this poor guy. he is tiny and white, and the scardest dog i have EVER seen. He clings to me so hard he feels like he has the strenght of a doberman!  Shakes uncontrolably, and will not set foot on the ground. I literally have to hold him, and lay myself down on the ground to get him there. Then if his tiny foot touches the ground he FREAKS out.... he is going to need ALOT of work, and patience and understanding. One day i will get him socialized, and he will be a different dog! If anyone would like to sponsor him, let me know. For 25$ a month you can sponsor any animal here!

The outdoor pens for the new shelter are DONE!!  yahooooooo!  I am 1/2 way done with the inside pens, and starting on the 2 walk-in cat cages. It is all comming together faster than i thought it would!

The next dog comming in ( that i know about ) is a tiny Yorkie named DD. he has had mange, and is "Ugly" now so nobody wants him...will tell more details after i meet him Wednesday.

Kiwi, and Goldie have both gone to their new homes, and are doing awsome!!  Checkers also went to his new home, but he ending up comming back. Tanner and cala were AWSOME and paid 100% attention to his needs, and it just did not work out. He is now going to stay here, and has full run of the shelter to call his own. So when you come to visit you will get wiggly greetings from Checkers! aka "Moose".

Many people are comming to visit animals this week, and Maggie Mae has to go to the Dr. and see about her tumnor.  update: She had her surgery and had a HECK of a time healing. We spent 10 nights sleeping on the bathroom floor so her crying did not wake anyone up. It was a LOOOONG recovery, but she is now fine, and NO cancer in the tumors that were removed!!  YEAH!!!

THANK YOU to everyone for your support, and all of your work on the internet searching for things for me. Can anyone come and live at the ranch w/ us and cook, clean, mow, and be my secratary so i can take care of all the animals??  :)

June 26th- All of you have been GREAT this month helping out with these new babies!  Things are comming along GREAT here at the shelter, and progress is comming along THANKS TO YOU!!

I have listed ALOT of the animals here at the shelter under www.petfinder.com - There are SOO many, that listing them on this site and that site is WAY time consuming. So also look there to see some.I have put the link on the home page so you cn always find it!  :)

http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/CO232.html

There are also some new kittens here!

The 3 Golden/Lab puppies have arrived. 2 are BLACK as night, and look like a golden. They are soooo sweet, but so scared. Also not socialized much, but totally better now! 1 is black with tan ticking, and he is just gorgeous! ~ There is also 2 Italian greyhound/chihauhau cross females. They are really petite, and look like minature Italian Greyhounds. They are soooo scared, but comming along nicely!

Next week a scared to death one-eyed Maltese named Shane is comming on transport from Missouri. He is needing our help! Maltese Picture  "Shane"

The little 8 year old Shi-tzu has also arrived. THANK YOU Carol for driving her all the way up here! What a DOLL!!  The GOOD news about her is she is only blind in one eye, and can see shadows out of the other. SO- she can get around really good, and has already made great friends here at the ranch house w/ Abagail and Scrappy. She also got to spend the night in the BIG bed!  She does have a tumor on her tummy.... That will have to be looked at and then beware.... if she has to have surgery i will be calling for help again!! I will put her picture up on the Sanctuary animals page so you all can see her!

BIGGEST thank you ever to Rick the managr at Southerland's in Cheyenne for donating some of the much needed panels! your the best!!!!!!!

HI Everyone!  ( June 16th )

There has been SEVEN dogs come in this past week. 3 Chinese Cresteds (with hair) who are ADORABLE, 2 Shi-tzu/poodle crosses, a yorkie/maltese cross, and an AWSOME 2-1/2 year old Golden Retriever. All are from a breeder release. THANK YOU Judy for comming out and helping hold these guys while i cut matts out, going with me to get them all loaded, ADOPTING one of them :),  AND for the huge garbage bag of toys, and treats for them!  NOW they will know what all that fun stuff is! ALSO THANK YOU to all of you who have sent donations to help with their vet care. ALL will have to be altered before they can be adopted. SPECIAL THANK YOU TO NITA AND FRANK in Vegas for your help!!  Hal & Laura, Carol, Lee, Brandi, Douglass H, Sandy, Christina, Jane, John & Kathie, Judy F, Penny T, The Burdicks, Jeanine, Carol, Sandy P, Janice K, Gay, Ally & Family, and ALL of you who have helpd sooooo much this month!

Work on the new shelter building is comming along. I still badly need donations for panels. It should be an AWSOME place for all these babies to live when it gets done!  There will be a washer/dryer, grooming table, and a huge cat room with LOTS of shelves and fun places to hide!

Hello Everyone!  My name is "Harley". I was dumped in a shelter down South, and Tami and Judy made ALOT of arrangements and got me transported up to Hope4FuzieFaniez. I am a Senior Cocker Spaniel, and i was so matted and dirty that when my people dumped me at that shelter the staff said because i looked so horrible they were gonna kill me.  I got my hair all shaved off & Boy do i feel better!  Everyone was calling me a BOY, but now they know i am a GIRL. I have something wrong w/ my ears and they are really bothering me. Tami says i am going to the Dr. in the morning, and that because of my age i will probably end up staying at Hope4FuzieFaniez. We are looking for people to help sponsor me so i can live here!  I like it here!  Tami rubs my belly and makes sure i am warm and happy and i get alot of nice food. If any of you want to help me and all my new furry friends here out, you can send donations to  Hope4FuzieFaniez - 70 road 156- Carpenter, Wy - 82054. We REALLY appreciate all of you and your helping us. We would not be alive if it were not for all you nice people!  THANK YOU!!

In other news here at the shelter, The Doberman has gone to his new home with a 5 year old boy. The 2 of them hit it off RIGHT away, and played and kissed and hugged. Thank you Zach and Theresa, and Braden for giving this great guy an awsome home!

Sadly the little 2 day old puppy "Wiggles" has passed away. RIP little Wiggles, i will remember you always.

THANK YOU to everyone who has helped out this past month- I am gaining on spays and neuters, and because of you lives are saved!

The list is endless of all the dogs i see pictures of daily who need help. Construction is still under way to expand here so we can help MORE animals in need.  I am trying to find someone to update my website more frequently for me so you all can have more updates. The work is non-stop for me, so thanks for your patience! Again let me know if you find any info on grants available, or just plain have any great ideas for fundraisers!

Then on another transport to Denver. Thanks to Nita, Gay, Jessie, and Sandy for your help for these two!!!  YOU saved their lives!

Check out the new dogs "Marina" & "Karat" on the dogs 1 page. And also the new page i am adding to tell a bit about how the transports work.

I want to tell everyone the story of "Hope" first thing.Right before Christmas i got a call about a dog who needed out of one of the shelters because her time was up there. It was Christmas, and with her name being "Hope", and The sanctuary being "Hope"4 FuzieFaniez, i just felt i needed to get her saved for Christmas. I called them and told them i would take her, and they said another rescue has spoken for her.... Wich was GREAT! She was out and safe.... The next week AFTER Christmas, i get an E-mail saying this dog "Hope" was due to be euthanized at the same shelter... i could not figure out what the deal was! So i called back. Well, the other rescue did not show up to get her, and she had also gotten adopted and brought back all in one week. SO NOW i said i would take her. Somoeone i do not even know transported her to Cheyenne for me. (I believe a total of 8 hours). And Friend Judy brought her out. Well.... here is "Hope", an Old English Sheepdog- Basset Hound cross!  ha!  what a combination!  She is the funniest looking gal, but whet a SWEETIE! She is just happy happy happy and bounces all over. She reminds me of Whinnie The Poo! So "Hope" is here and safe after a horrible nightmare for her.... her picture can be seen on the dogs page, and she is looking for a forever home!

For the past 2 weeks a large group of people from here to Arkansas have been working on getting 28 dogs safely out of kill shelters to us smaller rescues and sanctuaries. It was a TON of work for many people, and such a fantastic sucess!  I am trying to get a page on my site that explains the "Transporting" that goes on to get all these dogs to safety. It is absolutely unbelievable!  And you would  be amazed at ALL that goes on! I wish you  could read  the E-mails i get daily so you could better understand all that is involved. And the people are awsome!  I got 2 dogs today from this transport. One is a Min-pin. She s tiny, 5 years old, and scared to death!  We hopefully have a home for her already, but if anyone is interested let me know. Also a 1 year old mix of some kind. She is all white, and has a body that looks like a lab, only she weighs about 25 lbs. She has tan around her ears and specks on her nose. We thought she was very hyper at first, but now that i have gotten to know her she just LOVES to cuddle, and then is calm as can be. She stands up and i swear just HUGS on me and won't let go! Her name is "Marina".

If anyone can help with fostering an animal- please contact me. And realize that if that animal does not get adopted it may need to stay with you frever! :)

Also if you would like to be on our transpoprt list, please send your name and phone # and i will get it added to the list. You may get a call to do a 'leg" of a transport in your area to help get an animal to safety!

Your donations  help with MANY things. food and litter of course, but other things i am sure nobody realizes. Gas, propane, electricity, stamps, printer ink, laundry, websites, telephone, internet, piddle pads, cleaning supplies (endless), car insurance so i can transport all these critters, fencing, blankets, pillows, grooming supplies, on and on!

Be sure and get a kleenex, and look at my new page called "Poems".

There are SIX new cats i got in yesterday from a shelter who was going to euthanize them because of a sneeze. All are better after just 2 days of meds, and all are awsome!!  There are 2 sisters wwho are siamese mixes. 1 year olds, and sweet as pie. 2 Grey tabbies, young, a boy and a girl. one very little guy named Fabian who is an orange and white kitten. One 1 year old BIG girl who is mostly white with spots of grey tabby on her. All of them are sooooo sweet, and SAFE now!

Also, a 2 year old rat terrier female dog. She is little and cute as a bug. She is a bit hyper, but seems to get better as the days go by and she gets some attention! She was due to be euthanized because she did not pass the "Pinch" test where they pinch them all over their body to see what their reaction is.... well- she growled. I WOULD TOO if someone pinched me!!!  So she is also here safe and sound now...

Tomorrow "Joleene" the 10 YO tabby cat w/ 6 toes who has been here almost a year is going to her new home in New Mexico!!  Thanks Jessica for taking this awsome cat and giving her a great safe home for the rest of her days!

Sept 17th today. Just wanted to update everyone on the 2 rescue puppies who have been at the vet clinic for the last 5 days with Parvo. Today the bigger Boy gets to come home!  Little Savanna is still alive, and seems a bit better but is not out of the woods yet. Than you all who have been crossing you fingers for these two!  Hopefully soon they can BOTH come home. If you want to donate specifically to these two let me know as this will be a very scary bill!  But worth it. :) UPDATE:  Savanna is HOME and 100% FINE!  Both puppies are great and have found their new forever homes!!

If you are reading this and would like to be put on the list for our newsletter we send out monthly by E-mail, please send me an E-mail and i will add you to the list!   fuziefaniez0@yahoo.com

Only one new cat has come in this month. A GREAT Siamese. A gal called from Cheyenne and said one was living around an apartment complex there for a few weeks. This gal was doing construction and would see him every day eating in the garbage, and hiding under cars to get out of the rain. She took him to the clinic and had him tested for me and a friedn drove him out. I was not prepared, and took him to the ranch until i could figure out where he would be most comfortable.... well, i think i he is going to get to live there!  Cross your fingers.....

It has been crazy here as usual. The BAD thing is that Sparky the cat spent a week at the vet clinic with a urinairy iinfection. I now have a 370.00$ bill to pay. Help with that one would be MORE than appreciated! He is doing great now tho. What a big orange sweetie who needs a new home!

Maggie Mae the big black dog who came in a long time ago w/ the B/C's Finally went to her new home yesterday. What a great ending to a sad, sad story! YEAH Maggie!

My Friend Linda Lee is taking the 2 female B/C's to her sanctuary. They get to live there forever, and not have to worry about going anywhere else. Linda and her friend Mike will work with them and hopefully get them better socialized. Thanks Linda Lee! Also THANK YOU for the washer and dryer!!!!!!

I have to thank Steve and Karen for the most exciting day ever here.... Karen decided to faint on us a few times while they were out to visit cats. We had to call 911 and have the ambulance and all kinds of paramedics, and the guys from the volunteer fire dept all come out. Thankfully Karen is o-kay!  And everyone say a prayer she will continue to be o-kay!  And yes Karen.....you can still have your cats!  :)   ~  another thing that hapened during all this that is amazing to me...... there were trucks and people and noise all over this place and all these dogs who normally will blow the roof off with their barking when someone comes were quiet as little mice..... unbelievable!  Tell me they did not know something was happening that they needed to be good for! Little angels.....

My friend Robyn made a website about me. i have had it listed at the bottom of this page, but just now saw i had the web address wrong. It is www.angel4pets.mysite.com    Thanks Robyn for making this site!!!!

"Hanz" has been adopted!  Thank you to Ashley for giving this great guy a new home! The last time i saw "Hanz", he was sitting in the backseat of Ashley's pickup in the middle of his new puppy friend, and Ashley's 2 year old son. Hanz was cleaning up after his new buddy who was eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich......... Laughing

Thank you to Vicky who has sponsored Tina Marie!  Tina is an ancient Himalayan who has been here over a year. Somebody finally has taken her under their wing. GREAT!!!  Thank you Vicky

Today i got a wonderful donation and beautiful card all the way from Florida from Debra and her cat Tiffany who recently passed away. I hope that soon the hurt will go away from loosing her. It is a horrible thing to go thru, but just remember you gave her the best life ever and you did everything you could for her while she was here- and she knows it!!  Thank you! that was VERY special!

I found 4  6- month old puppies in a DISGUSTING horse trailer living at some peoples house. The trailer was used as the garbage truck, and the puppies lived in there without any food and water. I did not have the funding to get them all spayed, so i asked my "friends" to help in anyway, and Floss from Denkai Animal Sanctuary saved the day and took them all to her sanctuary. They are now all spayed and healthy and up for adoption. They are Austrailian Shephard/ healer crosses if anyone is interested in one of them let me know!  THANK YOU FLOSS!

Starting off June..... Oh Boy!  this place is crazy!  I had a call from a gal at a Humane society. She said an older couple were BOTH in the hospital and never comming home. They had 6 cats. 2 of wich are 17. Their daughters were trying to place them together in a sanctuary somewhere. i said i would take them if they would help me out paying for them. Well, the 6 cats turned into 4 (she couldn't catch 2 of them) , and the 4 turned into 3( one had to be euthanized). I took them to the vet in a stinky, poopy carrier and they were a mess. Dr. Bob said he has never seen earmites that bad. The one they said had brain damage actually had earmites so bad she wabbles when she walks because her ears are so messed up. The one 17 year old had puss around all her teeth, kidney failure and all kinds of horrible stuff wrong with her. She was in PAIN.  She had to be put down.... The 3 that are here are doing good, and getting massive earmite treatment. To Top it all off i am getting NO help from these people now..... At least they are safe and healthy now. They are all three looking for a sponsor if anyone wasnt to spend 15$ a month to help with one let me know!

A tiny old poodle named "Punkin" is now residing here at the sanctuary. She came from Topeka Kansas, and was in a shelter there for a month. They said she came in as a stray. She weighs about 5 pounds, is VERY thin, scared to death, and has a Horrible eye infection. After about 5 days she is very comfortable here, and barks louder than any dog here because she wants FOOD!  She is also looking for a sponsor for as long as she has left.... her picture can be seen on the sanctuary animals page.

The Gals from Denver were up Sunday bringing a truck load of supplies and an awsome dinner!!  Thank you Kathie for driving, Judy for getting everything together, Liz for just being plain sweet, and John for keeping them all in line!  Also to Gay, Penny, Sandy, Carol, the Burdicks and Sheila for sending MUCH needed stuff!!Embarassed

I also got in a 4 YO blue-heeler. Hi name is "Scrappie". His owners could not afford a dog anymore. He is awsome, and i had him here for about 1/2 a day and John took him over to the ranch and he is now staying there and spoiled rotten along with Abagail.   YEAH!

THE PUPPIES HAVE ARRIVED!!

A friend of mine had 8 border collie/ australian shephard puppies dumped at her house with a note saying "keep them, sell them, or shoot them"...... I told her i would keep them at the shelter and try and find them homes. She brought 5 of them today. 3 of them are already adopted!  The 2 that are still available are on the &quo

 14 Cats Rescued From Euthanasia!

14 cats were brought out to me that were taken out of the euthanasia room at the local pound. They were due to die and they got out just in time!  They can be seen on the "Adoptable Animals 1 & 2 " pages. All of them are healthy now and ready for their new loving homes.

I am thinking we had better keep the 12$ apiece donations for their testing an ongoing thing!!! The others are now freeley roaming the shelter, and feeling more like they are in a "Home" thanks to all of you and your donations!  i would like to get 3 cat trees for them to play on!  So keep the donations comming, and we will make even more progress!Smile

5-4-07 I want to say thank you to Dani and Louise who have sent help for the puppies all the way from the Netherlands!!!

May 24- Another Thank-you to Jack & Judy. They found an old 10 x 10 deck for me to put on the front of the house. Now with all the fencing they donated, i can let the dogs lounge around on the new deck!!  and under it for shade!

Also.... A BIG thank you to my friend Robyn who has made a website about me, and is desperately trying to get donations for me. She is all the way in SD, and wants to help so bad but is so far away. So she came up with this awsome idea. The website can be seen at www.angel4pets.mysite.com  Kiss

  Trailer House Donated!

For those of you who do not know yet, my neighbors Denny and Merle have donated to me a 14 x 75' trailer house. We had quite a few LONG, HARD days of work moving it over here, but it is finally here!!  There is a huge bedroom, a small bedroom, a bathroom, Livingroom, and a big kitchen. It needs alot of work, but it is slowly comming along. There will eventually be LOTS of room for rescued animals in there!  YEAH!

My Neices Fundraiser
